How Boujie Buddha may earn from recommendations
Boujie Buddha is an independent lifestyle platform built around discovering and sharing products, places, experiences and ideas that we think are worth knowing about.
Some of the links, products, services, bookings and recommendations featured across our website and other channels may have a commercial relationship attached to them.
We believe you should know when that is the case.
Affiliate links
Some links on Boujie Buddha are affiliate links.
This means that if you follow one of those links and subsequently make a qualifying purchase or booking, Boujie Buddha may receive a commission or other payment from the retailer, booking provider, affiliate network or other third party.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, using an affiliate link will not normally increase the price you pay.
The amount and method of commission can vary between partners. In some cases we may receive commission following a purchase or booking. In others, compensation may be based on clicks, leads, referrals, registrations or another qualifying action.
Affiliate tracking and eligibility are determined by the relevant third party and are subject to that party’s own terms and conditions.
Our editorial approach
A commercial relationship does not automatically make something worthy of appearing on Boujie Buddha.
We choose what we feature.
Our aim is to recommend, discuss and curate things that we genuinely believe are relevant to Boujie Buddha and its readers.
However, a recommendation or feature should not automatically be interpreted as confirmation that we
have personally purchased, used, stayed at, visited or independently tested every product, business, property, destination or service mentioned.
Our aim is to recommend, discuss and curate things that we genuinely believe are relevant to Boujie Buddha and its readers.
However, a recommendation or feature should not automatically be interpreted as confirmation that we have personally purchased, used, stayed at, visited or independently tested every product, business, property, destination or service mentioned.
Some recommendations are based on our own experience. Others may be based on research, editorial judgement, information available to us, third-party information or a combination of these.
Where we make claims based specifically on our own first-hand experience, we aim to make that clear.
Affiliate relationships and our opinions
Receiving or being eligible to receive commission does not give an affiliate partner control over our
personal opinions.
We do not guarantee positive coverage in return for affiliate participation.
The presence or absence of an affiliate relationship should also not be taken as a definitive judgement on the quality of a business, product or service. Some things we genuinely like may not operate an affiliate programme at all.
Likewise, affiliate programmes and commission arrangements can change, begin or end over time.
Advertising and paid partnerships
From time to time Boujie Buddha may also receive payment, products, services, experiences,
accommodation, travel, discounts or other benefits in connection with content.
Where content constitutes advertising, sponsorship, a paid partnership, gifted content or another relationship requiring disclosure, we will aim to identify that relationship clearly and prominently alongside the relevant content.
A general disclosure on this page is not intended to replace a disclosure that should properly appear with particular commercial content.
Gifted products and experiences
If a product, service or experience has been provided to us without charge, at a material discount or as part of a commercial arrangement, we may identify this using an appropriate disclosure such as Gifted,
Ad, Ad – Gifted, Paid Partnership or other wording appropriate to the circumstances.
Receiving something does not guarantee that it will be featured and does not guarantee positive
coverage.
Prices, availability and third-party information
Prices, availability, specifications, booking conditions, delivery charges, cancellation policies, promotions and other third-party information can change without notice.
Although we try to keep information useful and accurate, the information shown on the retailer’s, provider’s or booking platform’s website at the time of your transaction should be treated as the current information governing that transaction.
Please check all important details directly with the relevant provider before purchasing, booking or
travelling.
Your purchase is with the third party
Unless Boujie Buddha expressly states that we are the seller of a particular product or service, following an affiliate link takes you to an independent third party.
Any resulting purchase, booking, contract, payment, delivery, cancellation, refund, warranty or
customer service relationship is between you and that third party and is subject to its applicable terms and policies.
Nothing in this disclosure is intended to exclude or restrict any rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Affiliate networks and partners
Boujie Buddha may work with a range of individual merchants, booking platforms and affiliate
networks.
These relationships may change from time to time, so maintaining a permanent list of every current or historic partner may not always be practical.
Where a particular piece of content contains affiliate or otherwise commercial links, we use appropriate content-level disclosure to make that relationship clear.
Supporting Boujie Buddha
If you choose to purchase or book through one of our affiliate links, any commission we receive helps
support the running and continued development of Boujie Buddha.
There is no obligation to use our links.
We appreciate it when you do.
It helps us keep discovering and sharing the good stuff.
Discover the good stuff.
